Lost Valley. Day 7 & 8..I really don't like good-byes!

It was our last day full day at Lost Valley and we were going to live it up!!

Today were the morning breakfast rides.  The women go out on a ride and the men go out out on separate ride and we all meet up for breakfast a feast at "the jail" (with the kids).

There is something so peaceful about watching the sun come up over the valley...

And it was so great meeting so many wonderful woman this week and sharing the experience together...

After our ride and huge breakfast...it was time for the GUEST rodeo.
Meaning the guests put on the rodeo!
I, again, opted out this year..ggrrrrr. Those barrels were calling my name!

BUT, I had fun watching:-)

The kids all competed in the spoon & egg contest...
(Riding with a spoon in your mouth, trying to balance an egg on the end.)
Don't drop the egg jax!! (He is in red.)

Then it was kid barrel time...Go Cam!

Gavin's barrels were caught on video...(this picture/video thin is a full time job!)

Then it was Dad's turn...(Jax wanted to be the photographer...so this is the best picture we got).
But WOOT for my man trying barrels!

And Clint also did some cow penning!!
(He is to the far right.)
So impressed!

Then after the rodeo, it was straight to the pool to cool off!!
The boys are going to miss their friends they made this year!

After a little R&R by the pool,  we got cleaned up AND...

Papa Rob and Shar Shar drove up and joined us for the last night!

Tonight's dinner is our favorite...humm, can you tell it is hard to pick our favorite meal?

BUT tonight is grill your own filet mignon...YUMMM!

Papa Rob was enjoying himself!

So great to show Papa Rob & Shar Shar why we love Lost Valley!
 I think they are hooked!

The boys got a mini-grill lesson from Dad...

The steaks were grilled to perfection...I was a happy mama.

After dinner we got to put a check mark next to our "family brand" in the dining hall.
(Guests put a check mark next to their brand for every week they come during the summer.)

We hope to add MANY more check marks...

Then the boys gave papa rob and Shar Shar a tour of the ranch..

The corral was quiet....as we go home tomorrow morning :-(

Even our boots looks lonely...

But it was a great night...
The next day we all had breakfast together...

Dad took this great shot of a hummingbird.

Then we all went down to the pond to see if we could catch a few more trout before leaving...

Even though it was only 10 a.m., to increase our luck,
Cam asked dad to "crack a beer."

We did see some cool dragon flies...

But no fish today....I think they were still sleeping.

So as sad as it was... we packed up all the fishing gear,
loaded up in the burban and headed home.

Until next year...oooo-aaaahh!
