The Will Family: Lost Valley. Day 6 Already...

Day 6, another beautiful day in the valley. And we were getting into quite a routine. We were at breakfast by 7:40 a.m. and ready to ride by 9:30.

The kids meet at the wagon and then head down to the kids corral...

The kids got loaded up and then it was our turn. Clint and I rode together today...

Oh and look what we discovered in a tree...lil' birdies...so cute!

And I gave Cutter lots of hugs...he was such a good boy.

Plus, there is nothin' better then the smell of a sweaty horse!

(you horse people know what I am talkin' about!)

After the morning rides, the horses had the afternoon off. It was pool party time for the kids.

They all played pool games and had a blast.

Then it was off to do some serious stuff...fishin'!

And we felt lucky today....

As we waited for the fish to bite...look who visited us...

The broodmares and their babies that were born this spring!

Seriously, I was in heaven...and look how close they got to us.

One of the mares came to the pond for a drink...

And then they all followed...

opps, got a little too close to these babies and they started running...couldn't help myself :-)

With all the horse action we forgot about our fishin'. I am not sure if it was the horses...or Clint cracking open a beer that did the trick...but all of a sudden the fish were biting!

And there was some major excitement..

And the boys could barely sit before another one took the bait!

Oh and playing with the fish already caught was fun too..

Let's just say that we will have Dad crack a beer EVERYTIME we go fishing!

We caught 12 fish and two got away!

Then it was back to the ranch to get cleaned up...
horses and fish are a not a good combo...stinky!!!

And tonight it was BBQ rib night, so the boys were very motivated to clean up quick and be the first to dinner. I am pretty sure Gavin ate his weight in ribs.
