Oh my goodness, this ranks up there as one of my best memories! Cameron has entered the world of swim team. He is one of the few 5 year olds on the team and he is LOVING it!
Sundance had their first "Fun Meet" this past Friday. During the Fun Meet, we only swim against Sundance swimmers (not against another team) --It is a practice meet. It was great because it Cameron had a chance to actually go through heating (waiting for his race) and then learn to start etc. In his first race he dove in at the whistle not the buzzer -- It was very funny.
Cameron swam freestyle, breaststroke and backstroke and did great for his first meet. I was so proud of him. He is working on his butterfly...Not quite legal yet :-) but he will have to swim with the 8 and unders if he swims that race!
I posted video of his races below. He is in the middle lane. (They had coaches in the water just in case they needed them).
Jax and Gavin did great as well. They are both swimming in the 9-10 age group this summer. Jax finished first place overall in the fly, backstroke and breaststroke and second in the freestyle. Gavin finished 3rd in the fly and backstroke and 4th in the freestyle and breaststroke.
