Well, I seem to be writing this a lot...better late than never :-) January has been a busy month! SO busy. Jackson hurt his knee at swim team practice of all things and we have been in and out of doctors appointments trying to get a handle on it. An MRI revealed that has a bone marrow contusion of his femur, in addition to a folded plika (tissue that surrounds the knee cap.)
I think the biggest disappointment is that he can't swim. We decided that his short course season needs to be put on hold...which means he can't swim at state :-(
He has been in a lot of pain. Praying for healing....
But this brightened his spirits...
Look who got nominated as the Shining Star in his 6th grade unit....
The teachers nominate 10 students who have displayed an academic performance
that is above and beyond and serve as good role models.
He got a Jamba Juice gift card, a twix bar, and a free homework pass :-)
Way to go Jax!
Jackson also took a shop class this semester...made this VERY cool box. The lid slides off. I was very impressed. Much cooler that then the wooden fish I made in shop!
He is following in his Grandpa Will's footsteps for sure!
We are well into the swim season and Gavin and Cam are doing great! Cameron amazes me that he can swim 50s and 100s and not even think twice!
Here is Gavin with his coach...Coach Chris! He is an amazing coach and Gavin just adores him!
Gavin took 2nd place high point!!! He came in first in his 200IM and 100 breast! Woot!
Way to go my G-Rocket!
