We have had a GREAT swim season! The boys continue to amaze me with their gift to swim like fish! So far this season we have set some CRAZY personal records!
Jax's swimming has made 6 JO (Junior Olympic) cuts and will be swimming at State the beginning of March. He has made state in the 200IM (individual medley), 100IM, 100Back, 50 back, 100 breast, 50 breast, and is .2 seconds away in his 200free and a half a second in his 50 butterfly. He has also received high-point in two meets coming in 2nd and 3rd (meaning top swimmer in his age group)! He has certainly grown in his swimming. His dedication is incredible....I just love seeing his huge smile when he looks at the clock and sees he made his time.
Mr. G-Love is not far behind his older brother. He is going to put the pressure on Jax this summer when he ages up and will swim with the 9-10 year olds! Little G might be small in size but he is MIGHTY in the pool! Gavin has too many trophies and medals to count this season and has finished high point at 3 meets! He has also made Silver State in the 50 butterfly..as an 8 year old..we are pretty proud (silver state cuts are for 10 and under...no 8 year olds) He is also VERY close in his 50 back and 100IM...keep your fingers crossed. He will still be competing for these same times until he is 11! Look out!!
Here are some videos of the boys swimming. It is going to be hard to tell which one they are...they are usually in the middle of the pool with a swim cap that has a big red stripe down the middle.
The first 4 videos are of Gavin - he is competing against is rival, a boy from Wyoming (although a very nice kid). He is swimming 100 Freestyle a great race, 100 IM and of course his 25 butterfly. He fihishes first or second in each video. I also included a video when he got 1st place High point.
The second three are of Jax. Swimming 100 breast and 50 fly. He fishes first and second. I also included one when he got a JO cut and did not know...very cute!
